Wir grüßen alle Freunde des Modellbaus!

Anbei haben wir für Euch Informationen zum Wettbewerb in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Militärhistorischen Museum für die kommende Ausstellung in Berlin Gatow 2026 zusammengestellt.

Die Planungen sind aktuell in vollem Gange, und wir freuen uns schon riesig darauf, Euch alle im September zu sehen. Ihr findet hier eine kleine Übersicht, welche Kategorien es geben wird, und welche Sonderkategorien von Seiten des Museums dieses Jahr zu bestaunen sind. Die Kategorien sind alle maßstabsübergreifend mit Ausnahme der Militärischen Luftfahrzeuge, diese werden wir in „1/72 und kleiner“ und „1/48 und größer“ aufteilen. Somit gibt es bei dieser Kategorie eine Neuerung.

Wie auch schon im vergangenen Jahr schreibt das Militärhistorische Museum eine Sonderkategorie mit dem Thema „70 Jahre Luftwaffe“ aus. Die Kategorie ist bei genug Beiträgen geteilt in Einzelfahrzeuge und Dioramen. Hier könnt ihr alles aus der wechselvollen Luftwaffengeschichte einstellen, von der F-86 bis zum Eurofighter, von der F-35 bis zum Satelliten, vom Tanklaster bis zum Dingo. Wir beabsichtigen, wie beim letzten Wettbewerb die Sonderkategorie zusammen mit den militärhistorischen Profis vom Museum zu bewerten und Sonderpreise zu vergeben.

Die Anmeldung für den Wettbewerb findet Ihr hier zum Download. Die Anmeldung ist in verschiedenen Sprachen verfügbar. Bitte bringt sie zur Ausstellung ausgefüllt mit. Wir haben auch genügend Kopien vor Ort, dann dauert es nur länger.

Zum Schluss die Teilnahmeregeln. Diese bitte ich Euch zu lesen, so dass wir alle regelkonform diesen Wettbewerb veranstalten können.

Der Ablauf ist wie gewohnt:

• Am Samstag, den 05.09.2026 könnt Ihr Eure Exponate von 10:00 bis 17:00 Uhr einreichen.
• Die Jury wird erst am Sonntag, den 06.09.2026 aktiv. Dabei werden wir uns als Jury vor dem Haupttor des Hangars 5 um 10:15 sammeln, um Richtlinien sowie Unklarheiten zu besprechen. Im weiteren Verlauf wird um 10:30 Uhr mit der Bewertung begonnen, bei dieser Arbeit werden in einem Zeitraum von 10:30 bis ca. 12:00 Uhr die Wettbewerbsmodelle nur für die Jury zugänglich sein, um ungestört arbeiten zu können.
• Die Siegerehrung findet Sonntag, den 06.09.2026 um 15:00 Uhr statt, beginnend mit den Sonderkategorien des Museums. Danach könnt Ihr Eure Schätze wieder in Ruhe in den sicheren Hafen bringen.

Teilnahmeregeln:

1. Am Wettbewerb kann nur teilnehmen, wer an beiden Tagen (05.09. – 06.09.2026) ausstellt und am Sonntag bis zum Abschluss der Siegerehrung (ca. 15:30 Uhr) vor Ort bleibt. 
2. Je Kategorie können beliebig viele Modelle eingereicht werden. Für die Endwertung wird jedoch nur das Modell mit der höchsten erzielten Punktzahl berücksichtigt.
3. Die zum Wettbewerb eingereichten Modelle werden anonymisiert in einem gesonderten Bereich ausgestellt (Kennzeichnung erhältlich bei der Wettbewerbsanmeldung des Veranstalters). 
4. Es darf kein Modell zum Wettbewerb eingereicht werden, das bereits am Wettbewerb des IPMS Deutschland e.V. Berlin-Gatow 2025 und davor teilgenommen hat. 
5. Die Wettbewerbsveranstalter haben das Recht, Modelle, die gegen geltendes Recht und/oder den guten Geschmack verstoßen (zum Beispiel: Rassismus, Gewaltverherrlichung, Pornographie, Copyrightverletzung), zu jeder Zeit vor oder während der Veranstaltung auszuschließen und aus dem Publikumsbereich zu entfernen. Das gilt sowohl für Ausstellungs-, als auch für Wettbewerbsmodelle. 
6. Die Teilnehmer am Wettbewerb erklären sich durch die Teilnahme einverstanden, dass ihr Name und ggf. Foto in Zusammenhang mit dem Wettbewerb durch den IPMS Deutschland e.V. veröffentlicht werden darf (z.B. auf unserer Homepage). 
7. Einreichgebühr für den Wettbewerb: 2 Euro je Modell

Teilnahme auf eigene Gefahr, jegliche Haftung für die eingereichten Modelle seitens des Veranstalters wird ausgeschlossen.

Greetings to all scale modeling enthusiasts!

As the warm summer days are upon us, we have some news regarding the competition—organized in collaboration with the Military History Museum—for the upcoming exhibition in Berlin-Gatow in 2026.

Planning is currently in full swing, and we are incredibly excited to enjoy this event with you. Below, you will find a brief overview of the categories available, as well as the special categories presented by the museum this year. With the exception of military aircraft, all categories are open to all scales; for aircraft, however, we are splitting the entries into „1/72 and smaller“ and „1/48 and larger“—a new feature for this category.

Just like last year, the Military History Museum is hosting a special category themed „70 Years Luftwaffe.“ Subject to a sufficient number of entries, this category will be divided into individual vehicles and dioramas. You can enter models representing the entire, eventful history of the Luftwaffe—from the F-86 to the Eurofighter, from the F-35 to satellites, and from fuel trucks to the Dingo. As with the previous competition, we plan to judge this special category alongside the museum’s military history experts and award special prizes.

So, let’s get started—time to hit the workbench! Competition categories for Gatow 2026:

You can download the competition registration form here. The form is available in several languages. Please bring the completed form with you to the exhibition. We will also have plenty of copies available on-site, though using them will take longer.

Finally, here are the participation rules. Please read them so that we can all conduct this competition in accordance with the regulations.

The schedule is as usual:

• You can submit your entries on Saturday, September 5, 2026, between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
• The jury will begin its work on Sunday, September 6, 2026. We will gather in front of the main gate of Hangar 5 at 10:15 AM to discuss guidelines and clarify any uncertainties. Judging will commence at 10:30 AM; during this process—from 10:30 AM until approximately 12:00 PM—the competition models will be accessible only to the jury to ensure we can work undisturbed.
• The awards ceremony will take place on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at 3:00 PM, starting with the museum’s special categories. Afterward, you can safely retrieve your treasures at your leisure.

Participation Rules:

1. Participation in the competition is open only to those who exhibit on both days (Sept. 5–6, 2026) and remain on-site on Sunday until the conclusion of the awards ceremony (approx. 3:30 PM).
2. Any number of models may be submitted per category. However, only the model with the highest score achieved will be considered for the final ranking.
3. Models submitted for the competition will be displayed anonymously in a designated area (identification tags are available at the organizer’s competition registration desk).
4. Models that have previously been entered in the IPMS Deutschland e.V. Berlin-Gatow 2025 competition (or earlier) may not be submitted to this competition.
5. The competition organizers reserve the right to disqualify and remove from the public display area—at any time before or during the event—any models that violate applicable laws and/or standards of good taste (e.g., racism, glorification of violence, pornography, copyright infringement). This applies to both exhibition models and competition entries.
6. By participating in the competition, entrants consent to the publication of their names and/or photographs by IPMS Deutschland e.V. in connection with the competition (e.g., on our website).
7. Competition entry fee: 2 euros per model.

Participation is at the entrant’s own risk; the organizer accepts no liability for submitted models.
